Tom DeLonge and Blink-182 have always been on the ins and outs with each other. Actually, the entire band has always been back and forth on how they feel about each other. Tom has said a lot of sideways stuff about Mark, and Mark Hoppus has also said some not-so-great things about Tom. All this said, Mark Hoppus’ recent cancer diagnosis has brought a lot into perspective as it pertains to not only the band, but friendship…Post Malone’s Producer Finds Next Big Star.
Former Blink-182 co-bandmate Tom DeLonge spoke on a KINK Radio interview recently about possibly rejoining/reuniting with Blink-182. Tom stated: “We talk about it amongst ourselves all the time.”
Tom then went into more detail as he said it’s complicated due to ‘schedules.’ He said they don’t want to complicate each other’s plans. He said he speaks to Mark Hoppus every day, and has for a long time.
Certainly, Tom speaking to Mark daily for a long time may be a bit of a stretch by DeLonge, but Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge both have come to Mark Hoppus’ side recently due to his illness.
Tom also stated during the interview that while Mark Hoppus isn’t out of the water yet with the diagnosis, that the cancer is in fact treatable. While this is a great thing to hear, it does not take away from the fact that there will still be a long road ahead that could be filled with many bumps along the way.
