Post Malone broke onto the scene heavily with his first major album, ‘Stoney’ which topped charts everywhere with various tracks including the ever-famous song, ‘White Iverson’. Now, one of the producers of the hit song has turned his attention to a new artist who is starting to make waves.
Enter the artist known as Exel. Exel gained notoriety from huge names in the music industry ever since he went viral on Facebook multiple times for covers of various songs which helped him to build a core fanbase that have been with him every step of the way. As the fire started to build for Exel, Post Malone’s former producer, SauceLord Rich took notice.
Exel and SauceLord Rich recently released a new song called ‘Good’ which draws lots of dark energy into it by bridging together a Grungy vocal performance with dark-pop beats while still staying in an Alternative vein which Exel is originally from. All of these sounds then intertwine together to create a very unique sound that is ever-so haunting and extremely catchy.
The track sounds like what you would expect from someone of SauceLord Rich’s caliber – a hit. You can hear how the two melted together various genres to create something new while Exel still played strongly to his roots in Alternative music as his vocals create vast landscapes of harmonies in the background of the song while the vocals upfront are smooth and smoky reminiscent of Kurt Cobain in some ways.
Exel is heading in an exciting direction. This molding that he has done to bend genres is incredible work that sounds effortless for him. Exel’s newest song, ‘Good,’ is sure to bring in fans from all over the musical spectrum and we can’t wait to see what’s next. Check it all out below.
