Princess Kate’s ‘Deal Breaker’ With Harry Revealed
Princess Kate was reportedly left unable to overlook one key issue as tensions grew between Prince William and Prince Harry, with a royal author claiming it pushed the Waleses and the Sussexes onto “an entirely different course”.
Hello Magazine reported that royal editor Mr Russell Myers wrote in his book William and Catherine: The Intimate Inside Story that the Princess of Wales struggled with “Harry and Meghan’s attitude to palace staff”, who she and Prince William “cared about”.
In the extract, Mr Myers said Princess Kate initially believed the brothers’ rift stemmed largely from the “heir and the spare” dynamic, but that disagreements took a sharper turn as the couple’s working relationships with staff became a point of contention. The piece also revisits bullying allegations made against Meghan during her time as a working royal, which her lawyers denied, and notes Buckingham Palace carried out a review in 2021 whose findings were not publicly released.
The account comes amid continued public interest in the state of relations between the couples, with Britpop News previously reporting claims that Kate Middleton was allegedly ‘done’ with Prince Harry as the split deepened.
Princess Kate and Prince Harry were once viewed as close, including a period when he publicly described her as “the sister I never had and always wanted”, but the groups have not been seen together since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022 and are not believed to be in regular contact.
