Richard Fitzwilliams Says Harry ‘Not Part’ of Wales Children’s Lives
Prince Harry is said to be increasingly removed from the day-to-day lives of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as his rift with the Royal Family continues. The Duke of Sussex stepped back from official duties in 2020, and the Express reports that it is unclear when he last saw the Prince and Princess of Wales’s three children.
Express.co.uk reported that royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams argued it would be “probably impossible” for the children to be unaware of their uncle, but said Harry is “so far as we know, not a part of their lives” because of what he described as a deep rift.
In the same interview, Mr Fitzwilliams said Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were “six, four and one” when the Duke and Meghan Markle stopped being senior working royals in early 2020, adding that they were very young at the time. He also suggested they are likely to know there are “serious problems” when it comes to their uncle.
The comments come amid continuing public scrutiny of family relations, with previous Britpop News reporting that Princess Catherine was said to have stepped back from William-Harry talks as tensions persisted.
Questions also remain about wider family ties, including whether Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have had contact with their royal cousins in the UK, as the Sussexes continue their lives in the United States.
