Prince Harry seemed to add fuel to his feud with Donald Trump during his speech at the Invictus Games in Vancouver. He spoke about the importance of “courage, values, and humanity” and said these qualities deserve respect, especially “at a time when there are many problems, uncertainty, and people with weak morals.” Many believe this was a dig at Trump. Prince Harry is said to feel lonely five years after moving to California as well.
Normally, royals avoid talking about politics, but Harry’s speech was different. It came just a day after Trump insulted Meghan Markle in an interview with the New York Post, calling her “terrible.” Trump had previously suggested he might deport Harry over his past drug use but changed his tune, saying, “I don’t want to do that. I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife.”
Harry’s U.S. immigration status has been questioned, as a conservative group, the Heritage Foundation, is pushing for the release of his visa application. They argue that admitting to drug use should have prevented him from getting a visa. Trump has also said action might be needed if Harry lied about it.
The conflict between Trump and the Sussexes started in 2016 when Meghan, still an actress, called Trump “misogynistic” and “divisive.” Trump later called her “nasty” and has repeatedly mocked the couple, even predicting their marriage will fail.
