Friends Say Harry, Meghan Taking ‘Small Steps’ on Royal Reconciliation
Friends of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have suggested the couple are approaching any potential reconciliation with the Royal Family cautiously, with an emphasis on gradual progress rather than a swift breakthrough.
Express reported that a friend told People magazine Meghan “lets him [Harry] lead on all royal matters and dictate what needs to happen,” while insisting it would not put the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “at odds” because “they’re on the same team.”
The report said another source described the situation as still “very emotional” and claimed the couple are “not approaching it with the expectation of a quick resolution,” instead focusing on “small, manageable steps” to see “where things land.”
The comments mirror earlier reporting that the Sussexes are not expecting a quick fix in the royal rift following years of strained relations after they stepped back from senior royal duties and moved to the United States.
The Express piece also noted Prince Harry’s recent trip to Ukraine and said he rejected claims that he is “not a working royal,” telling ITV he will always be part of the Royal Family and continue public service work.
