Prince Harry ‘Very Sad’ Over Archie and Lilibet’s Royal Ties
Prince Harry is said to be “very sad” that his two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are missing out on a closer relationship with the wider Royal Family as they grow up in the US. The comments were attributed to a friend of the Duke of Sussex in a report published late on Wednesday, as attention again turns to how the Sussexes are raising their children in California.
The friend claimed Prince Harry feels his children are missing out on “the extensive family network that their cousins are enjoying”, and that he has spoken about wanting them to have an education similar to his own, the Mirror reported.
According to the report, the source said Prince Harry has kept close friendships from his time at Ludgrove and Eton and “wants that for his own children”, while describing Archie and Lilibet as having “a lovely time in California”. The same account said there remained “some negotiation” for the Duke to have with Meghan Markle regarding schooling.
The report also connected the conversation to recent public attention on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ children, adding that Prince Harry’s friend referenced the family life enjoyed by Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. In separate Britpop News coverage, King Charles has been linked to the ongoing family strain, including claims that he ‘regrets’ the rift with Prince Harry.
The Mirror report said it was understood Meghan is against the children following Harry’s schooling footsteps, and suggested the Duke discussed his plans with King Charles during a meeting at Clarence House last September. It added that Harry is expected to return to Britain in the summer to publicise the Invictus Games, with the possibility that Meghan and the children could travel with him.
