Meghan Markle Reportedly Seeks Separate Spotlight
Meghan Markle is reportedly looking to keep her professional work more separate from Prince Harry’s public appearances, amid claims she wants the focus to remain on her own projects rather than renewed controversy around the Royal Family.
Express reported that royal commentator Mr Rob Shuter claimed Meghan believes she is “more powerful” on her own and that Harry’s presence can steer headlines back toward royal drama and family feuds.
In comments attributed to Mr Shuter on Maureen Callahan’s The Nerve podcast, he said his sources suggested Meghan thinks she can “make more money by stepping forward by herself,” adding that she recognises “there’s a problem with Harry” when it comes to how the couple are perceived in the press.
The report also points to Meghan’s recent appearance in Switzerland, where she was said to be separating work commitments from Prince Harry and delivered an address about the effects of social media on children without the Duke of Sussex alongside her.
Meghan and Prince Harry have undertaken both joint and separate engagements since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, and any further shift towards solo public appearances would underline a continuing effort to manage scrutiny while pursuing individual projects.
