King Charles US Trip Skips Visit to Prince Harry
King Charles’s US state visit is taking him to Washington DC, New York and Virginia, but there are no plans for a stop in California to see Prince Harry, according to an Express report published on April 29.
The Express reported that the King has not travelled to America to visit the Duke of Sussex or his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet, and that a Montecito visit is not included in his diary during the trip.
The piece notes that Prince Harry, who has lived in Montecito since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, has not seen his father since September, and says the King has not previously flown to the United States to see him.
The wider context comes as the relationship between the Sussexes and the Royal Family continues to attract attention, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly not expecting a quick fix in the royal rift amid ongoing discussion about what reconciliation might look like in practical terms.
With the King’s schedule also set to include onward travel after his US engagements, any meeting with the Duke of Sussex does not appear to be on the agenda, keeping the focus on official duties rather than a family reunion.
