Harry Styles kicks off Together, Together tour in Amsterdam
Harry Styles opened his Together, Together tour at Amsterdam’s Johan Cruijff Arena, telling a crowd reported to be around 50,000 that he felt pre-show nerves and urging fans to match his energy as he launched into a set drawing on his recent albums and new material.
During the first night, The Sun reported that Styles was still tinkering with his set list until minutes before the opening, as he began with new track “Are You Listening Yet?” before moving into fan favourite “Golden”.
On stage, Styles told the audience: “Yesterday I got that feeling when you’re little, when you’re not sure if anyone is going to come to your birthday party,” before adding: “It means the world that you came tonight. I challenge you to have as much fun as I am.” The show was described as structured to build momentum, with an insider quoted saying the set “starts light, then goes full disco before it comes back down again”.
The Amsterdam opener also adds context to the scale of the run, with staging described as stretching for half a kilometre, and follows earlier reporting that Styles opened his tour in Amsterdam with a major arena run ahead of his planned shows elsewhere.
The setlist listed for the night included “Watermelon Sugar”, “Treat People With Kindness”, “Sign Of The Times” and “As It Was”, with Styles closing by thanking fans for “coming on this journey” and reflecting on staying “open to people” and living with “integrity and respect and love for each other”.
