Kate Middleton Reportedly Steps Back From William-Harry Talks
Princess Catherine has reportedly distanced herself from any effort to broker peace between Prince William and Prince Harry as fresh talk of a possible reunion grows. The report frames her stance as a move away from involvement as King Charles is said to be considering ways to bring the estranged brothers together during a potential UK visit by the Duke of Sussex later this summer.
Daily Jang reported that the Princess of Wales has taken a “not my circus, not my monkeys” approach to the situation, amid claims that King Charles is eyeing a summer reconciliation and that Prince Harry may travel to the UK in July.
The article also repeats remarks Prince Harry made in a BBC interview last year, in which he said he wanted to “mend fences” because he did not know “how much longer” his father had. It adds that royal commentator Mr Christopher Andersen told Fox News Digital that Catherine previously would not give up trying to reunite the brothers, even after the publication of Spare, but that her position has since shifted.
The latest claims echo previous reporting that the Princess of Wales had stopped trying to mend the William-Harry rift, as scrutiny continues over whether any meeting can be staged without reigniting tensions inside the Royal Family.
No official details have been confirmed by Buckingham Palace or Kensington Palace about plans for a reunion, and the report remains based on commentary and media speculation. However, it underlines how reconciliation efforts are being discussed publicly as the King continues treatment for cancer and the family’s private relationships remain the subject of intense attention.
