Report: Prince Harry saddened by Archie’s UK distance
Prince Harry has reportedly become more reflective about raising his children in the United States, with a new report claiming the Duke of Sussex feels the distance from the UK has limited Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s connection to close family life. The couple moved to California in 2020 after stepping down as working royals, and their children have been brought up there since.
The Blast reported that insiders believe Prince Harry is “deeply saddened” that life in California has distanced his children from the “close-knit family life” enjoyed by Prince William and the Princess of Wales’s children, and that he has started questioning what Archie and Lilibet may be missing.
The report also claimed Prince Harry has discussed education plans with Meghan Markle and is hopeful his children can form “lifelong friendships and experiences” similar to his own schooling in Britain. It added that Prince Harry has publicly expressed a desire to bring Archie and Lilibet to the UK, while also saying he misses parts of the country and feels it is “sad” he may not be able to show his children his homeland.
Those claims echo earlier coverage in Britpop News that Prince Harry was allegedly ‘very sad’ over Archie and Lilibet’s royal ties as questions continue about how closely the Sussex family remains connected to the wider Royal Family.
Buckingham Palace has not commented on the latest report. Any potential UK trip for the Sussex children would likely keep attention on the practicalities of security and family arrangements, as well as whether there is progress in easing tensions between Prince Harry and his relatives.
