Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are planning a wedding with live music instead of a DJ. On the Sept. 17 episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis told guest Jimmy Fallon that he and Taylor “are live music kind of people,” when asked whether they’d pick a band or a DJ for their big day.
Fallon also joked about Travis’ performing skills, but Jason Kelce said he wasn’t surprised, his younger brother has “been a man of entertainment since the beginning.” Fans have already seen Travis sing at the American Century Championship karaoke night and with Taylor at the 2024 U.S. Open.
The couple announced their engagement on Aug. 26 with photos of Travis’ rose-filled garden proposal and the playful caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.” Travis later shared that his “palms were sweating” and that a few tears were shed during the proposal.
Although they’ve happily shared engagement details, the wedding itself is expected to stay private. A source told People that the ceremony “will definitely be a private affair and not a spectacle,” reflecting their desire to keep the day intimate with only close friends and family.
With a live band, plenty of music, and a focus on family and privacy, the Kelce-Swift wedding is shaping up to be a heartfelt celebration that matches their personalities perfectly.
