Brian Cox is an excellent performer. He can get things done for him because he is that good in his craft. Despite all the efforts, he never got casted in a 007 series movie. He holds that grudge against the producers of the movie.
In an attempt to take on the producers of the James Bond series, Brian hosted a James Bond Reality TV Game Show titled,’007: Road to a Million.’
The show focuses on making contestants visit different places from the 007 series across the globe, and perform certain challenges to win the grand prize of £1 million ($1.2 million). The show has been loved by the fans, and Cox himself believes it is a great way for fans to revisit the movie.
According to the news shared by GameSpot, In an interview with GQ, Brian Cox said that he thinks he would have been a fit for a James Bond movie villain, but his time has come and gone already. As stated earlier, he liked the idea for the show and considered it a no-brainer to be the host.
I’ve been ignored over the years as far as James Bond is concerned. One of the kind of cockeyed reasons I did [007: Road to a Million] was I thought, well: really? If you were ever looking for somebody to play a Bond villain [it would be me]… so this is sort of my way of getting back at them.
I don’t buy into any kind of, ‘I’m special’ thing. I’ve never bought into that notion. That way lies a dusty death, quite frankly.
Cox gives excellent interviews, and this one was no different. He talked about how he has started asking for the money he deems fit for his work. Brian Cox wrapped up the fourth and final season of Succession, and is slated to be the voice of the lead role in the next Lord of the Rings movie.
British agents are always saying, ‘Well, you know, [the production] has got certain problems.’ I am not f**king interested in their problem. I’m only interested if they pay the money.
