Scott Weiland’s son Noah Weiland covered Stone Temple Pilots’ “Plush” for the first time a few days ago onstage with Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo’s son Tye Trujillo, his former bandmate in Suspect208.
Weiland said about the cover, “First & only time I’ll ever perform a song by my dad … SORRY if my energy wasn’t there all the way it’s almost like I felt him there with me and to be honest it kinda threw me off and I had to fight the emotions and keep the show going … on top of that this is my second time ever playing on a stage in my life so this shits all new to me ! but next time y’all see me perform I’m coming wayyy harder! I wanna say thank you to those who support me you’re all family to me.”
A fan named jamesandtheivans told Noah, “Dude, this is amazing. I sincerely hope you change your mind about performing your Father’s material in the future. This sent chills down my spine.”
KayKay024 said, “Super glad to see you back on stage! I know your Dad was there beaming with pride! I hope you change your mind about doing your Dad’s songs in the future! What a great way to honor him. Honestly you’re the only one I want to see performing his songs! Awesome job Noah!”
