Report: King Charles Has No Direct Contact With Prince Andrew
King Charles is reported to have “no direct contact” with Prince Andrew, with communication between the monarch and his brother said to be handled through staff. The claim appears in a new report that describes a strained relationship between the King and the Duke of York following years of damaging controversy.
A palace insider was quoted as saying “there is no direct contact there anymore”, with the source adding that Prince Andrew can speak to those working for the King “not with Charles personally”, Yahoo reported.
The report, which cites Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack, says Prince Andrew has been left increasingly isolated since the death of Queen Elizabeth II and amid continued scrutiny over his ties to the late Jeffrey Epstein. It also claims that Prince William had urged his father to take a tougher stance, and that the King ultimately followed that advice.
In recent weeks, the King has continued carrying out public duties, including appearances alongside other senior royals, with a rare solo appearance at the final Palace garden party highlighting efforts to keep the working monarchy focused on official engagements.
Buckingham Palace has not commented on the latest claims. Prince Andrew has previously denied wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, and the report’s assertions rely on unnamed sources.
