Princess Charlotte Backs Chelsea Over William’s Villa
Princess Charlotte has reportedly declared a different football allegiance from her father, Prince William, with a new account suggesting the 11-year-old supports Chelsea rather than the Prince of Wales’s favoured Aston Villa.
During a visit to Nansledan in Cornwall last week, Prince William told schoolchildren that Charlotte “loves Chelsea”, Hello Magazine reported.
The report said the preference mirrors Catherine, Princess of Wales, who has previously been linked to support for Chelsea, adding another shared interest between mother and daughter alongside music and sport.
William has spoken in the past about encouraging his children to choose their own teams, while Prince George is known to have accompanied him to Aston Villa matches and Prince Louis has been joked about as backing several clubs.
The moment offered a light-hearted glimpse into family life for the Waleses, with football loyalties again underlining William’s long-standing passion for Aston Villa as he continues public duties across the UK.
