Buckingham Palace shared the news on March 28 at 9:00 p.m., saying the King needed a short hospital stay for observation. According to The Sun, the Palace didn’t tell Harry ahead of time because they didn’t want to worry him while he was so far away in California.
Some people think this was unfair and that Harry should have been told directly about his father’s health. Since the royal family and their staff are in England, many believe someone could have called him before the news went public.
After his hospital visit, King Charles went back to Clarence House. The Palace said he is recovering well, but some of his scheduled events will be postponed just to be safe.
While the Palace says the hospital stay wasn’t a big deal, Harry hasn’t said anything about it yet. It’s not clear if he has spoken to his father or if he has been given any private updates.
