The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have left the residence. As confirmed by CNN: “We can confirm The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage.”
The news of this comes as Harry’s autobiography, Spare, continues to make tons of waves through the entire Royal Family. Harry’s book surely has shaken just about everyone up as it went into detail about many deep secrets that the family has held.
The couple got away from their roles as royals when they decided that the life was just too much for them. They then moved to Montecito, California. Obviously, this secretly started some very harsh thoughts about the duo from other royals. The Guardian speculated that the Sussexes leaving Frogmore would be seen as a significant weakening of ties with the royal family, just months before Charles’ coronation.
While they may have left, the Frogmore Cottage itself seems to be staying in the family as it was offered up to Harry’s uncle, Prince Andrew, who is no longer a senior figure in the royal family. Obviously, this could have been due to the many allegations on his watch. The 10-bedroom property in the grounds of Windsor Castle in Berkshire, was a gift to Harry and Meghan from the late Queen Elizabeth II.
