Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are continuing their partnership with Netflix, but their new contract is said to be worth far less than their widely reported $100 million deal. According to insiders, the fresh agreement is modest, low-risk for Netflix, and helps both sides maintain their reputations.
The couple’s production company, Archewell Productions, announced the extension with Netflix ahead of their current contract ending in September. Under the new terms, Harry and Meghan must pitch ideas to Netflix, which will then decide whether to move forward with the projects.
Upcoming content includes the second season of Meghan’s lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, set to premiere in late August, along with a holiday special in December. The pair are also producing a short documentary titled Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within, spotlighting an orphanage in Uganda where children find healing and hope through dance. Other projects in development include a Netflix adaptation of Carley Fortune’s novel Meet Me at the Lake.
In a statement, Meghan said she and Harry are proud to continue working with Netflix and are inspired to create thoughtful, globally resonant content through Archewell Productions. Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, praised the couple as influential voices whose stories connect strongly with audiences, pointing to past successes like their hit docuseries Harry & Meghan and the popularity of With Love, Meghan.
The couple first partnered with Netflix in 2020 under a deal that was rumored to be $100 million, though later reports suggested it was closer to $20 million. Since then, they have released several projects, including Live to Lead, Heart of Invictus, and Polo. Despite questions about finances, Netflix remains committed to working with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, while their content continues to draw strong viewership numbers worldwide.
