Harry and Meghan ‘Support’ Eugenie and Beatrice
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly offered support to Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice amid claims the sisters are being sidelined by the Royal Family following renewed controversy surrounding their father, the Duke of York.
Rob Shuter’s Substack newsletter reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reached out with “support and understanding during a difficult moment”, with one unnamed source quoted as saying: “Exclusion has a way of reshuffling alliances. Harry and Meghan know exactly how that feels.”
The same report said the alleged rift has intensified after the Duke of York was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office connected to his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, an allegation he has previously denied. It added that palace efforts to manage the fallout have left Eugenie, 35, and Beatrice, 37, facing reduced visibility within royal circles.
The Daily Mail was cited as reporting that Prince William advised the family to avoid being photographed with the York sisters, and that they could be barred from attending Royal Ascot later this year. In previous Sussex-related coverage, Prince Harry sidestepped a question about Prince Andrew during a television interview, highlighting the sensitivity of the topic around the Duke of York.
There has been no official comment from Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace or representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the latest claims about contact with Eugenie and Beatrice.
