Prince Andrew Bruise Explained Amid Police Probe
Prince Andrew has been pictured with a prominent bruise on his face, prompting fresh questions as the Duke of York remains linked to ongoing police inquiries. The images, taken while he was driving near the Sandringham estate, showed a mark on his right cheek as he sat in a car with another man and a dog.
SheKnows reported that the photographs were obtained by The Times, which said it was not known how the bruise was caused but that it was thought to be linked to a “non-serious medical condition”. The outlet also cited an unnamed source who told The Telegraph there was “no drama” behind the injury and that it was not the result of an accident or attack, while adding they could not discuss further details due to medical confidentiality.
The report said the images came amid a turbulent period for the King’s brother, stating he was stripped of his royal titles in November 2025 and that he was arrested and questioned in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office connected to his association with Jeffrey Epstein. It added that he was released under investigation and has denied wrongdoing.
The latest update comes as previous claims surrounding Andrew’s conduct have continued to draw attention, including coverage in which an Epstein accuser alleged the palace sat on evidence about Prince Andrew amid wider scrutiny of his links to Epstein.
According to the report, police are also investigating allegations that Andrew behaved inappropriately towards a woman working as a waitress at Royal Ascot in 2002, and that detectives may have been granted access to Scotland Yard files related to Virginia Giuffre, who previously accused him of sexual assault. The article said Giuffre died last year. Prince Andrew has previously denied the accusations made against him.
