Epstein Accuser Claims Palace Delayed Andrew Evidence
Buckingham Palace is facing renewed scrutiny after an alleged Epstein victim said officials held potentially significant material about Prince Andrew for years before a UK investigation moved forward.
InStyle reported that a BBC investigation claims the Lord Chamberlain received a cache of about 30,000 emails in 2020 describing Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s financial dealings, including allegations he shared confidential information with the late Jeffrey Epstein while serving as a UK trade envoy.
One of Epstein’s alleged accusers, Ms Jess Michaels, responded to the BBC’s reporting in comments to The Telegraph, saying: “Six years ago, the Palace knew Andrew wasn’t just a problem; he could face a criminal investigation. And they sat on it.” She also said the alleged cover-up caused harm to other women who came forward, including the late Virginia Giuffre.
The latest claims follow earlier Britpop News reporting that Buckingham Palace had received an email cache linked to Prince Andrew in 2020, a detail now central to questions about what was known internally and when.
According to the report, Prince Andrew was arrested in February 2026 on his 66th birthday and released about 11 hours later following an allegation of misconduct in public office tied to his alleged actions during his time as a trade envoy. Buckingham Palace declined to comment to the BBC.
