Donald Trump might support legal action against Prince Harry if Harry lied on his U.S. visa application about using drugs. Insiders say Harry should be very worried because Trump still wants him to face consequences, even though he earlier said he would leave him alone.
Trump once suggested Harry could be deported if he wasn’t honest about his drug use. Later, he said, “I’ll leave him alone. He has enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.” Trump and Meghan Markle don’t get along—she once called him a “misogynist,” and he called her “nasty.”
Even though Trump said he won’t deport Harry, sources say he still believes Harry should face legal trouble if he lied. One insider said, “Trump has made it clear that if Harry didn’t tell the truth, he could be punished.”
The problem started when Harry admitted in his book Spare that he used drugs like cocaine, marijuana, and psychedelic mushrooms. A conservative group in Washington, D.C., called The Heritage Foundation, sued the U.S. government, saying that people who have used drugs are usually not allowed into the country. They want to know why Harry was allowed in.
At first, a judge ruled in September 2024 that Harry’s immigration records should stay private. But after more legal challenges, the judge changed his decision and ordered the government to release as much information as possible. Officials are now deciding what documents can be shared with the public.
Trump has the power to ask for these documents to be released. He previously warned that if Harry lied, he could face serious consequences. While Trump may not personally try to deport Harry, he could still support legal action that puts Harry’s U.S. residency at risk.
