Sir Paul McCartney put on a fantastic show in Colombia for his Got Back Tour in South America. At 82, he looked sharp in a navy jacket and pants, paired with a light blue shirt. He performed classic hits like “Love Me Do,” “Hey Jude,” and “Live and Let Die,” accompanied by impressive fireworks. Paul switched between guitar and piano seamlessly, and at one point, he waved a huge Colombian flag, delighting the crowd at Bogotá’s El Campin Stadium. However, fans were also shocked by his recent look.
In line with his promise to return to Colombia, Paul shared on his website that he was excited for this performance, saying he and his band were ready to make new memories with the fans. Later, he was seen leaving his hotel, waving and blowing kisses to his fans.
The Got Back tour began in Uruguay earlier this month and included his first live performance of the recently completed Beatles song, “Now and Then.” Paul also performed at the Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium in Argentina, where he greeted fans in Spanish, saying, “Goodnight Argentina, hello Cordoba.” He’ll continue touring in Latin America, with stops in Brazil, Costa Rica, and Mexico before heading to Europe in December.
During a concert in Chile, Paul helped a couple get engaged. He noticed them in the crowd dressed as 1970s versions of him and his late wife, Linda. The couple held up a sign asking for a handshake in exchange for a marriage proposal, and Paul invited them on stage, where the boyfriend proposed.
Paul also recently honored John Lennon on what would have been his 84th birthday, sharing a photo of himself performing alongside footage of John from a 2022 concert. This footage was from Peter Jackson’s Disney+ documentary The Beatles: Get Back.
