Paul McCartney surprised fans with a “spooky” new look for Halloween. The legendary Beatles member shared a black-and-white photo on his Instagram on October 31, showing himself wearing an upside-down skeleton mask. He captioned the post, “Here’s to a spooky Halloween for us all,” which resonated with his 4.5 million followers, earning over 40,000 likes. He even once tried to reunite John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
The reactions were mixed, with some fans finding the mask a bit frightening. One user joked about being terrified if McCartney knocked on their door, while another commented on how scary the look was. Others took a lighthearted approach, suggesting he might fit in with a heavy metal band, with one fan briefly mistaking his page for that of Slipknot.
Amid the Halloween fun, many fans were excited about McCartney’s ongoing “Got Back” tour. This month, he has performed in South and Central America, including a recent show at Estadio Nacional in Lima, Peru, where he expressed his gratitude to fans in a post that translated to “what a cool night.”
Next, he is set to perform at El Campin Stadium in Bogotá, Colombia, followed by stops in Costa Rica and Mexico. Fans in the UK will have to wait until December to see him live, as he will perform two nights at Manchester’s Co-op Live and two nights at The O2 in London.
