Popular actress Emma Stone is certainly one of the leading actresses in Hollywood. She has made many friends and great connections over the years, including the member of The Beatles band Paul McCartney.
It has been noted that Stone once wanted to have a tattoo, and she had a brilliant idea for it. She then contacted Paul McCartney and requested him to design a tattoo for her in honor of her mother, who got cancer free in 2010. McCartney did not disappoint.
Emma Stone is good friends with English singer Paul McCartney, a former bandmate of the popular music boy band, The Beatles. In 2010, she got a matching tattoo with her mother, Kriston Stone, who got cancer free that year, and in honor of the same, the actress called Paul McCartney to help design her tattoo.
During her appearance on The David Letterman Show, Stone revealed that her mother loves McCartney’s 1968 song Blackbird, which was the main inspiration behind her tattoo. She stated she wrote him a letter requesting a favor of drawing her two little bird feet as he wrote that song.
Speaking of the matching tattoo she and her mother got, Emma Stone shared via US Weekly,
“We’ve never gotten tattoos before and probably never will again. Two years ago tomorrow, she (her mother) got diagnosed with breast cancer, and she’s out of the woods now, which is amazing. My mom’s favorite song is ‘Blackbird’ by Paul McCartney, and it’s my favorite song as well.”
Stone continued,
“I wrote a letter to Paul McCartney asking him if he would draw two little bird feet — because he wrote the song — and yesterday he sent them to me. Custom tattoos by Paul McCartney. Isn’t that wild? He’s a good guy.”
Ten years later, the actress revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that, while she likes the tattoo, it got swelled for some reason. Emma Stone further shared that she first met Paul McCartney when she visited his home with her Zombieland costar Woody Harrelson.
