Sir Paul McCartney was taking some time out to relax on holiday on Friday after his hectic schedule as he holidayed in The Hamptons.
The singer wore a black long-sleeved top as he took a dip in the sea on the hot summer day. He completed his swimming look with a pair of baggy navy shorts while enjoying the day at the beach where he was joined by his daughter Beatrice, 18, who he shares with ex-wife Heather Mills.
The Beatles legend looked in great spirits for the day out and couldn’t stop smiling as he splashed around. In the photo, he was dripping with sea water after he got out of the ocean and had his hair slicked back while strolling along the sand.
Sir Paul’s recent Glastonbury performance went down a treat with fans after he became the oldest solo star to headline the festival. His lengthy set, which had been delayed by three years due to the pandemic, wasn’t short of surprises as he was joined by guests Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen during the show.
During his set Sir Paul showed his allegiance to his pal Johnny Depp while performing his 2012 track, My Valentine, as he projected a clip of the actor from the song’s music video onto the screen behind him.
The former Beatle did not address Depp’s $100million court case against Amber directly during the concert but as soon as the images of the actor appeared on stage, the crowd cheered.
He also dedicated a song to his late bandmate John Lennon, to whom he dedicated Here Today to.
The show proves a poignant moment in Sir Paul’s lengthy career, as it also came 55 years to the day since The Beatles reached the largest audience in their history, when they performed on the world’s first global TV broadcast.
