Former Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher recently shared his thoughts on the possibility of Oasis reunion after tumultous relationship between him and his brother Noel have reportedly begun to become normal.
There has also been growing hopes that the duo would hit the road or release new music as Oasis reaches a landmark year with the 30th anniversary of their debut album. Hopes were raised further when 50-year-old Liam was spotted entering a recording studio – but there was no sign of 55-year-old Noel at the same venue.
Now sources have revealed what Liam has been up to in the studio – and hinted that the singer and his brother might not say no to making new tunes together.
A music insider told the Sun on Sunday:
“Even though Liam is on better terms with Noel, he is still focused on his solo material and has another record in him before he can think about an Oasis reunion.
“He’s been in a great headspace and the creative juices are flowing. He can’t wait to get back in the studio again.”
Liam himself also recently opened up about his focus in the recording studio. The singer – who has released three number one solo albums of his own – gushed about working with his favourite music producers, declaring:
“It’s easy, man. I thought it’d be a lot harder. We just get in and do what we’ve got to do.
Noel Gallagher recently shared that there will be a reissue of Oasis’ ‘Definitely Maybe’ album coming in 2024, though confirmed there will not be a reunion tour taking place any time soon.
The upcoming reissue of the band’s debut LP is set for release next year and will mark 30 years since it was first shared. It also arrives following ongoing rumours that the band will reunite for a tour celebrating the occasion.
Noel Gallagher had previously talked about the prospect of an Oasis reunion in the future. The beef between the Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel Gallagher is no secret. The split of Oasis certainly shocked the fans back in the day. In 2009, the band parted ways immediately following a backstage tiff in Paris.
Tension had been brewing in the time building up to their scheduled performance at Rock en Seine festival. The weekend prior, Oasis pulled out of headlining V Festival because Liam Gallagher was suffering from laryngitis, and rumors floated about their tumultuous relationship.
Noel Gallagher recently released the melancholic new track ‘Dead To the World’. The song is the latest single to be taken from his upcoming High Flying Birds album, ‘Council Skies’, which is due for release on June 2.
