Noel Gallagher has friends in high and low places it seems as famous Edinburgh Gangster Robert Kelbie has shared a throwback picture with Oasis legend Noel Gallagher while he attended the concert.
Robert shared the picture and included in the caption: “Main man” with an electric guitar emoji.
Now, Robert doesn’t have a squeaky clean record by any means. The convicted fraudster was with Noel backstage as the two shared some moments together which were caught on camera, where he got the photo from.
According to Edinburgh Live, It is not the first time Gallagher and Kelbie were seen together either as the pair were pictured at the world title fight at Wembley Stadium last year.
In one photo from the fight, Kelbie is wearing a ‘ringside journalist’ pass around his neck while the second appeared to be taken backstage.
It was stated: “Robert is well connected in that world so he’s often to be found hanging out with celebs. Who says crime doesn’t pay?”
Looking at his story, Kelbie has previously been locked in a long-term feud with Scots cocaine baron Mark Richardson, who has ties to the Lyons’ arch rivals, the Daniels crew. In 2017 Kelbie told the Record he’d been in a “seven-year war” with Richardson.
Don’t think for a second that he’s above fighting someone at a funeral as just last year, the pair had a punch-up in front of shocked mourners after a funeral in Edinburgh.
The compound in which Kelbie owns was also shot at in November 2013. A volley of bullets hit buildings in the Kelbie compound, which was fortified with spiked railings and CCTV cameras.
Kelbie was shot in the back outside Bannatyne’s Health Club in the city’s Newcraighall in 2010.
In 2012 Kelbie admitted a £145,000 mortgage fraud and was later ordered to pay back £34,000 under the Proceeds of Crime Act. He would then go bankrupt in 2014.
