Miles Teller is not calming down about his Eagles devotion. The Top Gun: Maverick actor and wife Keleigh Sperry Teller are good friends with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. However, their friendship was put on pause when it came to the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LIX February 9th.
“I think it was pretty clear in that situation as a diehard Eagles fan, I didn’t have mixed feelings about it,” Miles admitted in an exclusive interview with E! News at The Gorge premiere in Los Angeles Feb. 12.
“It didn’t matter who they were playing.”
Of course, Miles’ devotion to the Birds—who ultimately won the game 40-22—goes even further than his friendships.
As he put it, “My mom could’ve been on the field [instead of] the Chiefs and I would’ve been like, ‘Go Birds.’”
The nightplayed out in favor for Birds fans. Well, Miles wasn’t the only one in Travis and Taylor’s inner circle who wasn’t fully on their bench in the match-up.
Travis’ brother Jason Kelce—who played for the Eagles for 13 years—and wife Kylie Kelce were faced with an internal conflict when it came to the final score. And the former Eagles center tried to detail his contradictory excitement following the Super Bowl.
“I knew it was going to be mixed emotions before, during, and after, and I now know what my parents had to deal with two years ago,” Jason wrote in a lengthy post to X. “On one hand, I wanted what is best for my brother, and to see his success. And on the other hand, there are so many people, teammates, and coaches, in the Philadelphia Eagles organization that I care deeply about, many of whom I owe my own success to throughout my career.”
