Meghan Markle’s stylist says she did 40 hair looks in three weeks on Sussexes’ 2018 tour
Meghan Markle changed her hairstyle dozens of times during an overseas tour as a working royal, according to her former hairstylist Mr George Northwood. The London-based stylist has spoken about working with the Duchess of Sussex on official engagements, describing the tight schedules and rapid turnarounds involved while she travelled with Prince Harry.
Mr Northwood told Radar Online that he and Meghan completed “40 looks in three weeks” during the 16-day Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga tour in 2018, Express reported.
In the same interview, Mr Northwood said Meghan would arrive with ideas about her hair but would allow him to take the lead, adding that Prince Harry was “very, very good at noticing her hair” during appearances. He also described the practical realities of royal travel, recalling doing Meghan’s hair in airport toilets in Morocco with only minutes to prepare before the Duchess had to leave on schedule.
The comments add to continued public interest in Meghan’s approach to royal engagements and her time in the Firm, following previous Britpop News reporting in which Meghan Markle’s co-stars discussed her in the wake of a comeback in a separate piece.
Meghan and Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and now live in the United States, but details from their short period as working royals continue to generate attention, particularly around how they managed the demands of public tours and high-profile appearances.
