Meghan Markle’s Solo Geneva Trip Sparks New Speculation
Meghan Markle has faced fresh scrutiny over her decision to attend a high-profile event in Geneva without Prince Harry, as a royal commentator claimed the Duchess of Sussex is intentionally making more solo appearances to keep the focus on her own work.
Yahoo Entertainment reported that royal commentator Mr Rob Shuter said organisers were willing to accommodate Prince Harry at the Geneva appearance, but alleged Meghan Markle opted to attend alone because she considered it “my moment.”
Mr Shuter, speaking on “The Nerve Show”, argued that the appearance was designed to keep attention on Meghan Markle’s message rather than being drawn into ongoing royal headlines. He claimed the Duchess believes she appears “more powerful” by stepping out on her own, and suggested she is using this phase of her post-royal career to establish herself separately from the Duke of Sussex.
The comments come as Britpop News has reported on the reception to her Geneva engagements, including her remarks on online child safety during the Geneva appearance, which placed her public-facing advocacy at the centre of the visit.
Mr Shuter also alleged that Meghan Markle worries Prince Harry’s presence can shift media coverage back toward tensions involving the Royal Family, claiming that interest in the Duke’s relationship with King Charles and Prince William tends to dominate headlines when the couple appear together. Neither Meghan Markle nor Prince Harry has responded publicly to the claims.
