Meghan Markle is feeling overwhelmed by recent setbacks in her business and new Netflix show. Some say she believes there’s a conspiracy against her, while others argue her problems are due to poor content and legal issues. Markle is also facing a legal issue in California.
Meghan’s new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, finally premieres this week after delays due to Los Angeles wildfires. The show features Meghan sharing cooking, gardening, and lifestyle tips, with occasional appearances from Prince Harry.
However, critics have already compared it to Pamela Anderson’s Pamela’s Cooking with Love, calling them too similar in name and style. An insider told Women’s Day: “Meghan feels like everyone is against her and is paranoid people want her to fail.”
Others disagree, saying: “No one is setting her up—her content just isn’t good.”
Meghan’s lifestyle brand struggled with trademarks from the start. She originally wanted to use American Riviera Orchard but faced copyright problems. She then switched to As Ever, but this also caused trademark conflicts with a Chinese fashion brand called ASEVER.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office rejected part of her application, warning it could cause confusion. A lawyer said: “If she sells clothing under this name, she could be sued.” Meghan is now trying to save her Netflix show after these failures.
