Insider Claims Meghan Markle Is Being Avoided by Celebs
Meghan Markle is facing fresh claims about her standing in celebrity circles after an unnamed insider alleged that people are reluctant to spend time with the Duchess of Sussex over concerns about how their association could be used publicly.
According to Express, a source told the Daily Mail that Meghan and Prince Harry “love famous people” and are “very name-droppy”, with the insider suggesting some social contacts worry their names could be used for the couple’s benefit.
Well-connected broadcaster Ms Paula Froelich, described as a former Page Six columnist, was quoted as saying: “No one wants to hang out with Meghan,” adding that one reason could be fears she might “sell clothes while using their name” in connection with her reported fashion-related activity that generates commission on sales.
The latest allegation comes amid ongoing scrutiny of the Sussexes’ public and commercial projects, including how brand partnerships and personal ventures intersect with their public profile. In separate recent coverage, Meghan has also faced attention over money matters, with claims that she is reportedly facing financial pressure as Prince Harry focuses on charity work.
The claims remain unattributed beyond anonymous sourcing and a quoted commentator, but they underline how closely Meghan’s relationships and business activities continue to be examined as she and the Duke of Sussex pursue projects outside the Royal Family.
