Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spent a quiet Christmas in California with their children, Archie (5) and Lilibet (3). Despite reports that they were invited to celebrate the holiday with family in the UK, they chose to stay at home. Royal biographer Ingrid Seward shared that they were invited to spend Christmas at Althorp with Prince Harry’s uncle, Charles, now Earl Spencer. However, Meghan emphasized the importance of creating family traditions at home for Archie and Lilibet, such as putting out carrots for the reindeer.
Instead, the couple celebrated Christmas with Meghan’s mother, Doria, at their Montecito home. Meanwhile, other members of the royal family gathered in Norfolk at St. Mary Magdalene Church for their annual Christmas service. King Charles and Queen Camilla were joined by Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children, as well as Princess Anne, her daughter Zara Tindall, and Prince Edward with his wife, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh.
Despite challenges throughout the year, including health issues for King Charles and Princess Anne, the royal family continued their holiday traditions. King Charles, who has been undergoing cancer treatment, expressed gratitude for the support he had received.
