Social media users have started spreading strange theories about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s holiday card. Some people on Twitter claim the family photo is fake, edited, or even created with AI. A few went as far as saying the couple “borrowed” children to pretend they are Archie and Lilibet.
The photo shows Meghan, Harry, their two kids, and their three dogs. Archie and Lilibet are seen from behind, which some critics believe is to hide the children’s “non-existence,” instead of respecting their privacy. Others pointed out odd details, like Meghan’s arm looking “too long,” the angle of her feet, and Lilibet’s walking stance. Some even claimed the dogs were edited into the picture or questioned why Archie and Lilibet look the same height despite being two years apart.
Experts have dismissed these claims. A Photoshop expert told MailOnline the photo looks real, though it’s too small to fully analyze. Another photographer agreed, saying the picture may look staged to show the family in a perfect light, but it doesn’t appear fake.
This situation comes after Kate Middleton admitted earlier this year that she edited her family’s Mother’s Day photo, which led to increased scrutiny of all royal photos.
The holiday card, shared by the Sussexes’ Archewell Foundation, also highlighted moments from their year, including their trip to Colombia. Despite the online buzz, experts insist there’s no proof the family photo is fake.
