Meghan Markle’s old coworkers at Spotify had a secret nickname for her while she was making her podcast, Archetypes. According to royal expert Neil Sean, some employees called her “Eva,” after a character from the 1955 movie Queen Bee, played by Joan Crawford. They used this name as a quiet warning when she was in a bad mood. Meghan Markle visited victims of the Los Angeles fire recently.
Sean also said that working with Meghan was not easy for Spotify employees. She reportedly had mood swings and very high expectations, making things stressful. Instead of working closely with her production team, she preferred to talk directly to Spotify’s top bosses and remind them she was a duchess.
Prince Harry also had a nickname—“Tim Nice But Dim.” This comes from a British comedy character who is kind but not very smart. Some Spotify employees thought this name suited him based on their interactions with him.
However, not everyone had bad things to say. Jane Marie, a producer who worked on Archetypes, said Meghan was “lovely and genuine.” This shows that some coworkers had a good experience with her.
Meghan and Harry’s deal with Spotify ended in 2023 after just 12 episodes of Archetypes. The deal was worth $20 million, but both sides decided to move on. Meghan has now signed a new podcast deal with Lemonada Media. She is also working on a Netflix cooking show, With Love, Meghan, which will premiere on March 4.
