Eric André recently told a funny story about how Madonna messaged him privately—and how he was too nervous to do anything about it. He talked about it while on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his podcast Bombing With Eric André.
At the start of the interview, Kimmel joked that Eric’s zipper was down, and Eric responded by laughing and saying, “I’m horny… easy access.” Later, Kimmel showed a photo of Eric flashing his butt while onstage with Madonna. Eric joked, “Madonna has a bit of a crush on me. Not to brag,” while unbuttoning his shirt and showing his nipple.
He said Madonna had messaged him and there was a little flirting, but he was too shy to take it further. “That’s the Queen of Pop. You can’t just show up casually,” he said. He joked that to impress her, he’d need flowers, love songs, and romantic candles. He also mentioned that since she dated legends like 2Pac and artist Basquiat, she has high standards.
Eric also shared that his sister told him over the phone, “You need to sleep with Madonna, and I’m not taking no as an answer,” then hung up.
When Kimmel asked if he’d ever try to date her, Eric slammed the table and said, “You know what, forget it. Tonight, I promise I will have sex with Madonna on this table… while Jimmy watches!” Kimmel laughed and said, “You sure know how to romance a lady.”
Earlier in the interview, Eric mentioned a career regret. He said he turned down a role in the 2024 movie A Real Pain, which went to Kieran Culkin, who later won an Oscar for it. Eric explained he didn’t take the part because the script seemed too serious, and he wanted to stick with comedy. Now he says it was “the biggest mistake” of his career.
