LIAM GALLAGHER names the one thing that will prevent him from fighting with his brother NOEL GALLAGHER during OASIS’ reunion tour next year.
“For a few million curry japatis I think I can hold my tongue,” he tweeted when a fan expressed worry over the tour getting canceled if Liam and Noel start fighting again.
NOEL and LIAM GALLAGHER have been warned against drinking, dru*s and smoking ahead of the Oasis reunion tour next year.
A source claims, “The guys were told that if they wanted to live the dr*gs and the booze needed to go.
They are middle-aged guys now and can’t party like they once did.”
Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock recently talked to NME about different topics, including how he was invited to join Oasis, his views on John Lydon supporting Trump, and what’s next for punk music with Frank Carter. Matlock is currently touring the UK to promote his solo album Consequences Coming, which was released in 2023. He also talked about his work with Blondie on their upcoming album, his frustration with the continued admiration of Sid Vicious, and his thoughts on the Pistol TV show based on Steve Jones’ memoir. Liam Gallagher even responded to Oasis getting attacked by haters recently.
“Yeah, I’d like to not just be known as the punk rocker bloke from a long time ago – there’s an element of that. There’s only good music and bad music. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I tend to be right and everyone else is wrong!”
At 68, Matlock reflected on the recent Sex Pistols UK reunion tour, where he played with Steve Jones and Paul Cook, and Frank Carter replaced Lydon. He expressed his annoyance that Sid Vicious, who replaced him in 1977, is still idolized. He also criticized the Pistol show for not telling the band’s true story.
“I’m surprised, so maybe I was wrong about that. But I think there will be a consequence coming with him, as well. When [Boris] Johnson got in, all these people wrote to me, who tended to be Public Image [Ltd, the band Lydon formed after the Pistols] fans: ‘Glen, don’t you realise that right is the new left and that’s where true rebellion lies?’ They’d been hoodwinked! They’re trying to make it like Putin in Russia, controlling everything and nobody really gets a say-so. I still stand by what I said on that record.”
Matlock mentioned that he wanted his solo album to show more than just his punk rock roots. He believes there’s only good music and bad music, no matter the genre.
In the interview, Matlock also talked about the title track of his album, which is about politicians getting what they deserve. He said he was surprised by Trump’s return to power but believes there will be consequences for it. Matlock also shared his frustration with people who supported figures like Boris Johnson, saying they had been misled.
