Music can be soothing to the ears, but it can be problematic too. There’s so much more than what meets the eye and so much more that goes into making a great song, great. Lars Ulrich has musical expertise, but he also has a grudge against Paul McCartney for ruining his dream jam session.
Metallica’s Lars Ulrich was the guest at his friend’s February party. He wanted to see the musicians’ drums and other instruments on stage and wanted to play some music to entertain the guests. Little did he know that his dream was about to come to a close instantly as Bono and Edge went up the stage to play a song from the new U2 album.
There was a drum kit up there and there’s a bass. Ulrich considered it as his moment and thought that as things pick up, he would step up on the stage and give the fans a memorable moment, but it was ruined at the last second. Paul McCartney walked up the stage and the trio performed for the people in attendance while Ulrich was among the attendees clapping on the exceptional performance that was put up by the trio on stage.
The funny thing is that he still holds a grudge about it, but walks around saying he has nothing against either of them as it’s all there already. While we cannot say, who to be blamed, would you not be interested in a performance by McCartney, Bono, and Edge together? Sound off in the comments.
