Keith Richards may be one of the most brutally honest men in rock music. Surely, when you think about Keith Richards, you think about a few things. One would be his guitar playing while chain smoking on a dimly lit cigarette, another may be that he’s seemingly living forever despite a crazy past that would have killed 100 elephants, and last, but certainly not least; his give no sh*ts attitude that has won the hearts of millions. Truly, he is honest.
Damon Albarn’s Gorillaz have released their newest efforts and Keith Richards has a little bit to say about it. In the new Gorillaz album, ‘Cracker Island,’ we get to follow the Gorillaz on a journey like no other. A journey to creating a cult. Yep, you heard that correctly. The Gorillaz are creating their very own cult and they want you to join. Keith Richards, does not want to, however.
The album hosts a few really great additions such as Bad Bunny, Beck and Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks.
As reported by Yahoo – Not everyone has given them a warm welcome, however. Enter Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards, who inspired the character Murdoc.
Jamie Hewlett stated: “We approached Keith Richards once and he told us to f*ck off. He said: ‘Who? Gorillaz what? Nah, f*ck off’.”
Others said the same.
Hewlett continued: “Lou Reed told me to f*ck off as well when we first met him. He told me to fuck off before he even heard what my name was.”
