Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell posted on Facebook that he heard Joey Jordison had an illness that made him unable to play drums before he died.
“I love what Joey Jordison accomplished with Slipknot. They were the bridge from rock into professional wrestling. From what I hear, Joey had an illness that made him unable to play the drums. (Our bodies are only good for a time). Rest in peace…”
Joey died in his sleep on Monday. TMZ reported, “Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Jordison was pronounced dead at the scene … we’re told no foul play is suspected and there were no illegal drugs found at the house. The medical examiner will now work to determine an official cause of death.”
AaronianKenrod posted on Reddit, “I couldn’t understand Paul’s and I can’t understand Joey’s.
You know how you wonder about some people reacting to John Lennon’s death? Or Freddie Mercury’s? Or Kurt Cobain’s?
This is that for our generation friends. It’s shit and undeserved and shocking. But you’ll remember it because it was important.
Grieve. Mourn. Never forget how his drumming made you feel. Love. Be happy. Don’t let go. Let it flow. Underhand. Join hands. Be sad together.”
