In a White House response, the president said Prince Harry was “not speaking for the UK” and added that he was “speaking for the UK more than Prince Harry”, while also quipping about the Duke’s wife, Meghan Markle, Hello Magazine reported.
The same report traces the feud back years, noting Mr Trump’s past criticism of Meghan, including comments made after she previously described him as “misogynistic” and “divisive” before joining the Royal Family. It also recounts Mr Trump’s remarks in interviews in which he said he was “not a fan” of the Duchess of Sussex and suggested the Duke was being “led around by his nose”.
