Gorillaz and Blur legend Damon Albarn finally got his driver’s license at 52 years old, and now he has purchased an expensive car by writing a huge check. Noel Gallagher ‘Refused’ Damon Albarn Performance.
Damon’s first car is a Range Rover Sport, to make it easier to drive between London and his country home in Devon.
The car costs £65,000 and goes from 0 to 60mph in eight seconds, with a top speed of 130mph.
A friend of the singer told Daily Mail, “Damon loved his time in Devon during lockdown and would love to spend much more time there. But getting there on public transport would be a nightmare, so he decided to take the plunge and finally learn to drive himself around.”
Albarn said about spending lockdown in the country, “I got to know all the local people – the butcher, grocer, fishmonger. That’s really where I see myself now.”
