Noel Gallagher unloaded on Damon Albarn in a newly unearthed Britpop Live Forever deleted scene clip from 2003. Noel Gallagher recently dropped a final Oasis show bombshell.
“I’ve sort of lost respect for them. People say: “It’s all in the past, leave it alone” and I don’t know – no I haven’t finished with him yet.”
Noel said he begged Damon to end the feud before a Blur fan got ‘his head smashed in with a bottle by one of our fans.’ Noel called Oasis management, asking not to play shows with Blur. Oasis and Blur agreed to cancel a show, but Blur backtracked.
“So we thought “All right, we’ll see who ends up in hospital first with a nervous breakdown you f**king p***e” and that’s been it.”
Fortunately, the two Britpop legends ended their feud after the documentary and claim to be on good terms, but one has to wonder if seeing these quotes could open up old wounds for Damon.
Noel told The Sun last year about how Liam Gallagher and Albarn’s feud began, “Liam and Damon were s****ing the same bird and there was a lot of cocaine involved. That’s where the germ of it grew from.”
Former Oasis manager Alan McGee confirmed Noel’s story in the book ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger.’
“There was a situation with a girl. That created the Britpop war. Damon s****ed somebody close to Liam. It was one of many women Damon was friendly with. Then he got off with her for a one-night stand and that created the rub. They were all goading each other after that.”
