Coldplay has added a fourth show in India to their Music of the Spheres world tour due to high demand from fans. The band will perform at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on January 25, 2025, for what is expected to be their biggest show ever, with up to 100,000 fans. They are also scheduled to play in Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21. They also previously performed without one of their members.
Tickets for the Ahmedabad show will go on sale on November 16, 2024, at noon India time, through the online ticket platform Bookmyshow.
The Music of the Spheres tour, which started in 2022, has already sold 12 million tickets across Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, making it the most attended tour by any band. In early 2025, the tour will also visit Abu Dhabi, Seoul, and Hong Kong.
In other news, the Asia Pacific Screen Awards has announced three special award winners. Data Chachua from Georgia won Best New Performer for Panopticon, Neo Sora from Japan won the APSA Young Cinema Award for Happyend, and Min Bahadur Bham from Nepal won the Cultural Diversity Award for Shambhala. These winners will join the Asia Pacific Screen Academy and be part of the Top 51 World Filmmakers Club. The APSA ceremony will take place on November 30 at The Langham, Gold Coast, Australia.
