Matt Damon and David Beckham have become close friends after working together on a beer commercial. According to RadarOnline.com, this has made Damon’s longtime friend, Ben Affleck, feel jealous and left out.
In the Super Bowl ad for Stella Artois, Beckham, 49, jokingly calls Damon, 54, his “long-lost twin brother.” The two are seen having a great time together, drinking beer and eating chicken wings.
Now, their friendship has moved beyond the commercial, and sources say Affleck isn’t happy about it. One insider said, “It really hurts Ben to see Matt and David spending so much time together.”
Affleck, 52, has struggled with alcohol addiction and has been to rehab multiple times, most recently in 2018. Because of this, he wasn’t a good fit for a beer commercial.
A source shared, “At a time when Ben really needs his friend, Matt is busy hanging out with Beckham instead. Lately, Matt hasn’t had as much time for Ben.” Affleck is already dealing with personal struggles, including his reported separation from Jennifer Lopez. Now, he’s feeling even worse, thinking that he’s losing his best friend to Beckham.
