It was announced on January 20th, 2022 that ‘Hello’ singer Adele would be postponing her long-awaited Las Vegas residency. The residency would have originally ran from January 21st, 2022 until April 16th, 2022 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The reason given for the postponement was due to ‘Delivery delays and the virus that caused the worldwide pandemic.’ On July 25th, it was announced the Las Vegas residency will run from November 18th, 2022 to March 25th, 2023, with eight more dates than initially planned, for a total of thirty-two concerts.
One of Adele’s most recent supporting acts, Mahalia touched on the singer’s return to the stage as Adele made a triumphant homecoming last month at London’s Hyde Park. In conversation with the UK-based outlet, Metro, the twenty-four-year-old stated how nervous Adele truly was to play those London gigs.
‘She was definitely nervous, she made that quite clear on stage. I think even just being in the same space as she was kind of enough for me! Getting to watch an Adele show live, I feel like she throws out loads of nuggets anyway to the crowd. Even though didn’t actually get to give her a hug or shake her hand or say hi, I felt very close to her just for the fact that I was there.’
She went on to add: ‘I’m sure she was nervous, and also scared – there were so many people! In other news concerning Adele, the ‘Someone Like You’ artist recently proclaimed her desire to have more children during an interview with Desert Island Discs. “I’m a real homebody,” Adele said. “I love like pottering around, and sorting out drawers, and being with my son, and my animals, and being with my friends. I definitely would like a couple more kids. It would be wonderful if we can. If not, I’ve got Angelo. I just want to be happy.”
