Meghan Reportedly Refuses UK Trip Amid Harry Row
Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have reportedly clashed over plans to return to the UK, with a new report claiming Meghan has told Harry to travel without her as tensions around a potential family visit intensify.
Now To Love NZ reported that Harry has been trying to map out a trip that could include time in Scotland and a possible stay at Balmoral, but that Meghan is said to be unwilling to go, with an unnamed “palace insider” claiming their disagreement escalated after Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, made clear they were uneasy about Harry and Meghan “drifting slowly back into the fold”.
The report says the dispute flared shortly before Meghan travelled to Geneva for the unveiling of an installation highlighting the dangers of online abuse, supported by Archewell Philanthropies. It also quotes an unnamed source claiming Meghan does not want to put herself or the children “through the trauma” of a UK trip, while Harry is said to be worried about being separated from his family if he goes alone.
Speculation about a Balmoral stop has circulated before, including reports that Prince Harry and Meghan could reportedly meet King Charles privately at Balmoral, though the Sussexes have not publicly confirmed any summer travel plans.
Neither Prince Harry nor Meghan has commented publicly on the latest claims, and it remains unclear whether any UK visit will take place or what form it might take if arrangements are made.
